Central Bank of Ireland’s continuous focus on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, while maintaining high standards in wellbeing and corporate responsibility, has led to numerous third-party endorsements in the past few years.

 gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards

In 2021, Central Bank of Ireland won two awards at the gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards.

Highlighting our ongoing commitment to attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent, we achieved Bronze in the following categories:

  • Diversity Recruitment Award
  • Best Innovation in Graduate Recruitment

IBEC Keep Well Mark

In 2018, we achieved the highest standard of "Excellence" for the Health and Wellbeing Programme and subsequently won the "IBEC Keep Well Mark"- Large Company of the year award, which recognised the significant contribution the organisation has made in creating a culture of health and wellbeing in the workplace. In 2020, we were accredited with the Keep Well Mark again.

Business Working Responsibly Mark

In 2021, we were delighted to achieve accreditation of the "Business Working Responsibly Mark" again, awarded by Business in the Community (BITC). This accreditation is awarded to organisations that have been assessed by BITC and shown to have high standards in corporate responsibility.The assessment is independently audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland.

Investors in Diversity - Bronze

In 2023 we were awarded Investors in Diversity- Bronze Accreditation, from the Irish Centre for Diversity. The accreditation acknowledged our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) journey, recognising our inclusive policies and guides and the various D&I training offerings made available for our leaders and all our colleagues. We look forward to continuing to build on our D&I work, with the hope of extending our accreditation to the next level.

WAM Leader Awards

In 2019, 2020 and 2021 we were recognised at the Willing Able Mentoring; (WAM) Leader Awards by AHEAD for our contribution in supporting and promoting the employment of staff with disabilities.

Elevate Pledge

In 2021, we became one of the founding signatories of the “BITC Ireland Elevate Pledge". With this Pledge, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to making diversity and inclusion a priority for the Central Bank. The overall goal of the Pledge is to build an inclusive workforce that reflects all of our society. This is aligned with our existing Diversity and Inclusion Vision and commitments as well as our broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives.

Published Accounts Award

In 2021, our Annual Report won the “Diversity and Inclusion award” category at the Published Accounts Awards by the Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society.
