Frontier Statistics provide valuable and innovative insights into economic developments and aim to fill data knowledge gaps using a set of evolving "frontier" methods and datasets.

The data sources and methods used to compile these statistics are in development, and may become Central Bank official statistics in time. The statistics are updated on a quarterly, bi-annually or yearly basis and may be subject to revision more often than our official statistics. Please note that Frontier Statistics do not have the same degree of certainty attached to them as official statistics.

The outstanding credit advanced to Irish households and businesses in March 2025 was €219.6bn, which is €1.1bn lower than it was in the previous quarter.
