| Additional information | This scam is an example of an ‘advanced fee fraud’, where a payment is sought upfront prior to providing a loan. The loans are never provided.
The firm cloned the details of a Central Bank authorised firm and has been seeking to pass itself off as the legitimate firm, Money Smart Limited (CI09807) in order to deceive consumers. It should be noted there is no connection whatsoever between the Central Bank authorised firm and the unauthorised firm. |
