Central Bank announces appointment of Director of Credit Institutions Supervision

The Central Bank of Ireland has today announced the appointment of Ed Sibley as the Director of Credit Institutions Supervision.
Announcing the appointment, Deputy Governor, Cyril Roux, said: "I am very pleased to announce Ed’s appointment following an open campaign. He will lead the Credit Institutions Supervision Directorate, oversee the prudential supervision of credit institutions and support the Registrar of Credit Unions in her role. Ed brings considerable experience and knowledge to this role."
Ed is currently the Head of the supervisory section of Banking Supervision. Prior to joining the Bank he worked in European Banks Supervision in the Financial Services Authority (UK). He has also held a number of roles in Bank of Ireland and PwC. Ed holds an MBA from Smurfit Business School as well as a BA in Economics.
