Why a Financial System Conference?
In 2021, Central Bank of Ireland published a Consultation Paper entitled “Enhancing our Stakeholder Engagement”. It proposed the establishment of a Financial System Conference to create a forum where stakeholders can engage with the Central Bank, and with each other, about the strategic issues affecting the oversight and operation of the financial system in Ireland. It is planned that the Financial System Conference will take place on a regular basis and will complement other stakeholder engagement activities such as the Financial Industry Forum, the Consumer Advisory Group and the Civil Society Roundtable.
