Technological innovation is driving rapid change in the retail payments sector and along with this, consumer expectations are changing. Disruptive technologies are transforming the payments sector with new payments instruments and new payment processing interfaces.
What is driving this payments transformation?
The Central Bank of Ireland will host an event – The Future of Retail Payments - with the goal of providing an overview of technological innovation and strategic policy developments within the retail payments sector. Among the topics for discussion, will include the Eurosystem’s retail payments strategy including the demand for instant payments and the European Commission’s retail payments strategy.
