Hear the story of Irish banknotes, from their design to the meaning behind the artwork and finally to their impact on Ireland as an independent nation during the 20th century. A must for banknote enthusiasts. This event is organised as part of the Dublin Festival of History.

“From Queen Medb to Charles Stewart Parnell” - Louis O’Byrne, former Director of Currency Issue, Central Bank of Ireland.
The discussions will be chaired by Sinead McDonnell, Archives Manager, Central Bank of Ireland.
