Visitor Centre FAQ

Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during our opening hours – 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), with last entry at 15:30.

Entrance to the Visitor Centre is free.

The Visitor Centre welcomes visitors on a self-guided basis.

Most people take about 45–60 minutes to look around the Visitor Centre.

There is a coffee shop available to visitors located just beside the Visitor Centre in the main lobby of the building. Please note only debit or credit cards can be used in the coffee shop.

Toilet facilities (including an accessible toilet) are adjacent to the Visitor Centre.

Facilities for People with Mobility Impairment

The building provides accessible entrances to accommodate people with reduced mobility. In addition, unisex accessible WCs are available in the visitor centre.

Facilities for People with Visual Impairment

We welcome assistance dogs in all Central Bank of Ireland's offices and will provide water bowls on request. Please ask a member of our staff for further details upon arrival at our offices.

Facilities for People with Hearing Impairment

Hearing induction loops are fitted at the main reception desk and facilities are in place to meet the needs of people with hearing impairments.

Access to the Visitor Centre is free and is open to the general public on a self-guided basis during our opening hours – 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), with last entry at 15:30.

Tours of the Central Bank of Ireland are generally offered when the Central Bank participates in cultural events such as the Irish Architecture Foundation’s Open House Dublin. Details of such events will be available on centralbank.ie when available.

The Visitor Centre can be accessed via the main entrance of the Central Bank’s headquarters in North Wall Quay, Dublin 1.

The National Transport Authority’s National Journey Planner helps people plan personal door-to-door journeys – using public transport and/or walking – anywhere in Ireland.

The Central Bank of Ireland is located in a busy area of Dublin where parking is at a premium. For ease of access, we recommend visitors travel to the Central Bank by public transport.

For those travelling by car, there is on-street “pay and display” parking on North Wall Quay and adjoining roads. Alternatively, visitors can park in the public car parks listed below:
