ESMA’s third EU-wide CCP stress test finds system resilient to shocks

On 13 July 2020, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, published the results of its third stress test exercise regarding Central Counterparties (CCPs) in the European Union (EU) which confirm the overall resilience of EU CCPs to common shocks and multiple defaults for credit, liquidity and concentration stress risks.
