The Central Bank publishes a notice of intention in relation to the application of the ESMA Guidelines on marketing communications under the Regulation on cross-border distribution of funds

The Central Bank has published a notice of intention in relation to the ESMA Guidelines on marketing communications under the Regulation on cross-border distribution of funds (the “Guidelines”). The notice sets out that the Central Bank expects full compliance with the Guidelines in line with the relevant application date of 2 February 2022.The Central Bank will, in due course, consult on the incorporation of a provision into both the Central Bank UCITS Regulations and AIF Rulebook setting out that compliance with the Guidelines is required.
