Description
This consultation seeks stakeholders’ views on a revised methodology for calculating the Industry Funding Levy payable by Payment Institutions and E-Money Institutions.
The case for a new levy methodology centres on a need to take account of the changing landscape in the market, revisions to the Central Bank’s PRISM risk models and a funding strategy which aims to achieve a predictable, transparent and proportionate approach to the calculation of levies.
On the expiry of the consultation period on 16 April 2021, a total of 12 responses were received which were considered in detail. A Feedback Statement has been prepared setting out the Central Bank’s position on the matter which reflects the consensus view from Industry.
