Annual Report 2016 and Annual Performance Statement
The Central Bank has published its 2016 Annual Report and its Annual Performance Statement.
Governor Philip R. Lane launched the reports at the Dockland Campus in Dublin on 3 May 2017. He said that while the domestic economic environment continues to improve, external risks remain significant. These risks relate to the effects of Brexit but also any increase that may occur in global protectionism and/or elevated levels of risk aversion in international financial markets.
The Governor confirmed that, as part of its role as the National Macroprudential Authority, the Central Bank will undertake an annual assessment of its mortgage measures. The next review is expected in November 2017.
