Guidance on Client Asset Requirements

The Central Bank has published Guidance for investment firms to assist industry in interpreting the revised Client Asset Requirements, as contained in the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48(1)) (Investment Firms) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 10 of 2023) which will be applicable to investment firms from 1 July 2023 and credit institutions from 1 January 2024. The Guidance on the revised Client Asset Requirements will apply from those dates.
